The River Tyne Swing Bridge made from 27,250 matchstick.

Built on the Roman bridge the Swing Bridge was constructed by Sir W G Armstrong and opened to the public on the 15th June 1876. At 104 ft long this was the longest span bridge at the time. The bridge took 6 months to complete.
